The down escalator in the Library has been non-operational for a few days now and some patrons are wondering what’s going on…The top partion of a patron boot was pinched in the side sheet metal paneling of the down escalator. As a result of this occurance, Thyssen Elevator Company is working with the Campus and the State Elevator inspector to reach a solution to this problem. Until a decision is reached and for the safety of our users, the down escalator will be out of service for little while longer. Sorry for the inconvenience. Ed. Alston, Lib.
