Opening CelebrationThe dedication of the Sokiku Nakatani Tea Room and Garden on June 2, 2007, was celebrated with a special tea ceremony conducted by Madame Sosei Matsumoto, one of the most influential and highly regarded masters of Chado who had been Sokiku Nakatani's teacher. To celebrate this occasion, Madame Matsumoto presented the University with a special Shino ware teabowl named "Friends in Learning," to commemorate the placement of this Tea Room and Garden on the California State University, Sacramento campus and within its University Library. |
